LIP BLUSH BEFORE AND AFTERCARE

Lip Blush Before and After Care: List

PLEASE READ CAREFULLY

As a necessary precaution, ALL clients that had ever suffered from cold sores (Herpes Simplex Virus) need to contact their physician to obtain prescribed antiviral medication before the procedure. Along with the antiviral medication please also take an anti-allergy to aid in healing and to prevent a cold sore outbreak.

Failure to take your antiviral medication will increase your chance of a cold sore outbreak creating great discomfort and the procedure will be compromised.

Examples of antiviral medications: Acyclovir, Zovirax, Famvir, or Valtrex.

Note:

If you have never had herpes, it is not necessary to take an antiviral medication before, but beware that if the immunity is low you can also have an outbreak.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION ABOUT LABIAL HERPES / COLD SORE

Cold sores, Herpes, are infections from the HSV-1 virus that can manifest themselves on the lips, mouth, or gums. Many people have the virus and never develop cold sores or have any symptoms. All of this is related to the immune system of each person. If the person’s immunity is low, the symptoms are likely to appear. In the case of lip micropigmentation, it can be activated since there is an extra stimulus that the body is not used to regularly, for this reason, it can stimulate your immune system and take greater strength if your system is weak, which will end up activating the cold sore.

Note:

Labial herpes does not come from the anesthesia, pigments, or products used in micropigmentation, but from the immunity of each person.

If you decide not to take the antiviral medication, Aldrich Beauty Brows (technician Sandra Aldrich) have no responsibility for outbreaks after the procedure.

AFTERCARE GUIDELINE

Proper aftercare of your semi-permanent lip tattoo is necessary to achieve the best results

Important message

( If you are not on the antiviral medication for the prevention of herpes and you begin to feel pain, burning, inflammation, or itching on any part of the lips after 3 days of the procedure. Please contact your doctor immediately this are signs that an outbreak is going to begin )

Immediately after the procedure, the lips may feel dry, chapped, tight, and tender to the touch.

Expect moderate swelling, usually one to three days after the procedure. Crusting can make the lips feel thick.

You can apply an ice pack ( protected with a wet protective film of paper towel, towel, or cloth) for 10-minute intervals during the first 48 hours. Do not put ice directly on the area.

After every meal gently rinses and clean lips with water and pat dry, then re-apply ointment 2-3 times daily.

Do not stretch your lips. Avoid biting into large sandwiches, etc. Cut the food into small bites.

Do not bite greasy food, do not eat pork or shrimp, oily, salty or spicy, rather cut it and put it in your mouth.

Avoid moisture on lips like hot soups and hot coffee for 10 days. Drink everything through a straw until the lips are completely peeled.

No soaps, cleansers, or chemicals on the lips. Wash your face carefully.

Do not pick or rub your lips and let the peeling happen naturally. Continue keeping your lips moist. Do not allow lips to dry out.

Itching is normal, DO NOT PICK!

Do not keep licking your lips, as this will impede the healing process.

Avoid hot water on new pigmented areas as much as possible for the first 3 days. When showering, washing your face, etc. put ointment on the pigmented area to protect the lips from water.

Do not expose your procedure to direct sun, swimming, saltwater saunas, swimming pools for 2 weeks.

Excessive sweating should be avoided 2-3 weeks

No facial, wax, laser treatment near the lips for 2 weeks.

Seal your lips with cream before brushing your teeth. Use a small amount of toothpaste.

No whitening toothpaste (during the healing process). Do not whiten your teeth while your lips are healing (about 2 weeks).

Do not expose lips to direct sunlight or tanning beds for 4 weeks. This is new skin and will burn easily and direct sun prematurely can also cause scarring and alter pigment color.

Do not smoke while the lips are healing (minimum 10 days).

Don’t kiss, rub or rub your newly tattooed lips until after 10 days or you may lose pigment.

Please note:

Lips can be dry for 3 to 6 months, depending on the body’s reaction. Always keep your lips moist.

The lips will fade up to 50% after the first 5 days. While it heals, the tattoo will look patchy. This is due to the regeneration and healing of the skin.

Note that in many cases, some color unevenness is to be expected, this is the purpose of retouching. Retouch allows the technician to correct anything in your procedure.

RETOUCH

Retouching can only be done after 6 weeks from the first session.

Two or three sessions may be required to achieve the desired results. Please, be patient. The cosmetic tattoo is a multi-step appointment process with a healing time of approximately 6 weeks between touch-up appointments.

Retouch price is not included in the initial cost.

Keep in mind that in many cases, some unevenness of color is expected. This is the main reason for the touch-up after 6 weeks. In some cases, women will have a higher difficulty in skin pigmentation. This varies greatly from one person to another and has nothing to do with the professional but with the reaction of your skin. In this case, it is a sign that your skin does not absorb the pigment properly. Your skin has a difficult pigmentation if your lips begin to peel and the color is disappearing, in touch-up, we reinforce with more color. If an additional touch-up is necessary, there will be an additional cost.
